Attendance
You have to be here!
Regular attendance is one of the strongest predictors of student success — and it's required by California state law.

Absence Limit
Students who accumulate more than 9 absences in a semester in any class — not counting absences for school-sponsored activities — will receive a grade of NC (No Credit) for that class. An NC is treated the same as an F for the purposes of athletic and activities eligibility.
After an Absence: What To Do
After any absence, parents or guardians must call or send a written note within 3 days to explain it. Once a call or note is received, the front office will issue an admit slip, which teachers require before a student can re-enter class.
If an absence is not explained within 3 days, it will be classified as an unexcused truancy (cut).

Assistant Principal: (707) 961-2880 ext. 3701
How We Communicate With You
We keep students and families informed at every step:
- 3 absences — The student receives a reminder about attendance rules and consequences.
- Each absent day — An automated phone call is placed to the student's home if they are marked absent during any class period.
- 5 absences — A letter is mailed to the student's parent or guardian.
- 9 absences — An additional letter is sent, and a staff member will attempt to contact the family by phone, mail, or home visit. A meeting with the Assistant Principal or a school counselor will be arranged to help resolve the situation.
Stay Informed: Monitor Your Student's Attendance
Parents and guardians can check attendance at any time through Aeries (the district's online student information system). At the end of the second week of school, a letter goes home with instructions on how to log in — you'll need your student's ID number and verification code.
